Kendra J. Zehr, 27, Gouverneur, was charged by Watertown police April 20 with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a motor vehicle violation, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe tires, failure to keep right, an illegal signal, and improper plates.
According to police records, Zehr had 218.23 grams of a crystalized substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Police further allege that she possessed scales for weighing or measuring controlled substances.
Zehr was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment.
Brenda L. Loomis, 63, County Route 60, Watertown, was charged by city police April 14 with driving while intoxicated.
Loomis was processed and released with tickets for Watertown City Court.
Cory A. Merritt, 32, no listed address, was charged by city police April 18 with first-degree criminal contempt.
According to police records, Merritt violated a stay-away order of protection by going to the protected party’s apartment and speaking to the victim through the door. Police said that Merritt has a prior second-degree criminal contempt conviction in October 2023.
Merritt was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment.
